Students of class IV of Mount Carmel School, Mohali went on an educational visit to an organic farm .The motive of the visit was to show the students how plants are cropped without pesticides and insecticides. Students were very excited to see the organic farm. Students sowed seeds of black pulse and corn there in the farm. After that they took a round of the farm and saw different types of plants like pumpkin, watermelon, lady finger and medicinal plants like flax seeds and carom seeds etc. The owner of the farm Mr. Grewal explained about the farm and plants to the students. He told them that no preservatives, pesticides or insecticides are used in the farm. The visit to the farm was really beneficial for the students.
