Annual cum Founders’ Day

The Annual cum Founders’ Day programme of Mount Carmel School , Sector 69, Mohali was celebrated with great pomp and show in Tagore Theater , Chandigarh. The function started with Vandana dance and the welcome speech by Gurleen, the Head Girl of the School. This was followed by scintillating performance by the students. Students from Classes Pre. Nursery to Class X participated in it. The theme of the event was ‘Our Beautiful Nature’.

The event was graced with the presence of Mrs. Raji P. Shrivastava IAS, Director, M.G. State Institute of Punjab Administration, Chandigarh.

The captivating cultural extravaganza presented by the students left the audience spellbound. The show was an amalgam of graceful synchronous dance performances ranging from traditional to international.

The Dance performance ‘Rain Dance’ by Classes I and II beautifully gelled with the theme of the programme.

The Hindi Play ‘On Water – The Driving Force of all Nature’ was a beacon of awareness regarding the judicious use of water.

The English play showcased the distractions and depletion of values caused by the harmful soul elements of the society.

Meritorious students who excelled in curricular and co-curricular fields were also awarded with trophies as a mark of appreciation by the Chief Guest.

The Annual report of the school, focusing on the vision and the achievements was also presented.

The chief Guest Mrs. Raji P. Shrivastava conveyed her best wishes to all and appreciated the wonderful performances. The programme rose to a final crescendo with a powerful synchronized performance by the students with the awareness message on ‘Save and Protect Nature’.

The Annual Day ended with a vote of thanks by Kritik Sharma the Head Boy of the school followed by the National Anthem.
