An excursion to Chhatbir Zoo was organized by Mount Carmel School, Sector 69, Mohali, for the students of Pre. Primary. The fun filled excursion aimed at sensitizing the children towards bio- diversity and the colourful variety of animals and birds. The children thoroughly enjoyed their visit and had great fun watching the animals, birds and reptiles. They were pleased to hear the voices of different birds and animals and could relate to their sounds. The students were thrilled to see tigers, leopards especially white tiger, peacocks, elephants and nocturnal animals. The most entertaining were the playful monkeys. Overall it was an enjoyable trip which helped the children acquire knowledge about various animals, their habitats and eating habits.
