A Special Morning Assembly was conducted in Mount Carmel School, Sector 69, Mohali on 11-07-2019. The Assembly started with a word of prayer followed by the thought, news and a special speech on ‘World Population Day’.

Monitors (Boys and Girls) of classes VI to X were felicitated with badges by the Principal in order to inculcate the feeling of responsibility in them.

After their commendable performance in SOF Olympiad at School Level, Sarthak Singh Slathia and Parneet Kaur went onto participate at the Second Level SOF Olympiad. Sarthak Singh Slathia of Class VI was appreciated for bagging the Certificate of Zonal Excellence (Zonal Rank 17 in Punjab and Chandigarh) in SOF National Science Olympiad, conducted by SOF Foundation. Parneet Kaur of Class VI was felicitated for bagging the Merit Certificate in SOF English and SOF Maths, conducted by SOF Foundation at the Zonal Level.

NTTIA conducted Taekwondo Championship in which Karmanjeet Kaur of Class IV won a Gold Medal, Archit Phutela of Class IV and Damanpreet of Class IX won a Silver Medal each and Yashraj Sharma of class IV won a Bronze Medal. These students were felicitated in the assembly.

Archit Phutela of Class IV who won a Bronze Medal and Aarav of Class IV who received a Certificate of participation in the Taekwondo Championship conducted by R.KAY Group of Martial Arts and Defence Academy too were felicitated.

The assembly ended with words of wisdom and encouragement by the Principal.
